L'ÉCOLE DE DENVER's COVID-19 RESPONSE

Welcome to the 2021–22 School Year!

After successfully completing a year of in-person classes in 2020-21,  L'École de Denver has returned to our normal school schedules and activities this school year. However, we remain vigilant to the pandemic-related challenges ahead and are committed to working with employees, students, families and local health officials to maintain a healthy learning environment on campus.

This webpage will provide a hub for information related to  L'École de Denver's COVID-19 response.

Our mitigation strategies are guided by local and state public health guidelines and will likely change over the course of the year in response to conditions on campus and in the wider Denver-metro community.

COVID-19 Symptom Checklist

L'École de Denver's Current COVID-19 Mitigation Strategies

Based on CDC and Denver County Health guidelines,  L'École de Denver has implemented the following mitigation strategies for 2021–22 school year:

INDOOR MASKING: Masks will be required indoors for all students, employees and campus visitors regardless of vaccination status. Masks remain optional outdoors.

VACCINATIONS:  L'École de Denver continues to strongly encourage vaccination for all eligible individuals. Please be sure to email a photo of your student’s completed COVID-19 vaccination card to frontdesk@ecoledenver.com so we can accurately track student vaccination rates and potentially reduce the need for masks on campus.

TESTING:  Unvaccinated students and employees are required to participate in weekly COVID testing until proof of vaccination is provided.

OUTDOOR GATHERINGS & LUNCH: Whenever possible,  L'École de Denver will use outdoor spaces for gatherings. We will continue to offer teachers opportunities to conduct outdoor classes.

ENHANCED VENTILATION: Along with vaccination and masking, well-ventilated indoor spaces provide an important layer of protection against viral transmission.

STAY HOME IF UNWELL: Individuals exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 should not come to campus. Parents/guardians are asked to be particularly vigilant in keeping sick students at home to help keep our school healthy. Please use this checklist of symptoms to guide your decision.

CONTACT TRACING & QUARANTINE:  L'École de Denver will continue to track potential COVID-19 exposures. Please note that unvaccinated students may be required to quarantine if they are determined to be a close contact to a person with COVID-19. Fully-vaccinated students exposed to COVID-19 will only quarantine if they show symptoms of infection and will isolate if they test positive for COVID-19.

HIGH RISK ACTIVITIES: Some activities are considered high risk for COVID-19 because of the level of exhalation and/or close, face-to-face contacts. This includes indoor sports like volleyball and some extracurricular activities like band and choir. If exposed to a case of COVID-19 during these activities, unvaccinated students may be required to quarantine.
