Rachel Camacho is excited to return to a French language immersion program as the Head of School for L’École de Denver. Rachel joins L’École from Colorado Academy where she taught high school Spanish, and plans to teach Spanish as a L’École elective. While growing up in France, she earned her high school baccalauréat, and her intermediate diploma (DEUG) in Language, Literature, and Foreign Civilization-Spanish at the Sorbonne. Then, she was off to Spain where she earned her BA in French as a Foreign Language and also her Master’s degree in FLE from the University of Alicante. Passionate about education she pursued a Master’s degree in Education to learn more about different pedagogies. As a fully bilingual Spanish and French speaker, she started her career teaching French in Spain at all educational levels, but primarily middle school and high school. In Spain, she was the Director of the World language program in her school being in charge of the curriculum and the DELF testing. Since then she has been mentoring Master FLE students from the UCAM college program (Murcia, Spain). She arrived in the United States in 2014 to teach both Spanish and French in primary and middle school at the International School of Denver. As a mentor, she coaches teachers and empowers their potential across different international schools and platforms. Her professional interests include design of project-based learning lessons and integrating media and hands-on activities into the classroom. Rachel endeavors to ensure a culture that encourages continuous improvement for teachers and students while creating an environment that assists in open communication with colleagues, students, and families.
Hello! My name is Charlotte Jeauneau-Sheiner! I was born and raised in France, near Tours in the Loire Valley! Right after I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English, I moved to Sydney, Australia! When I returned, I worked to get my Master’s Degree in Education and moved to Grimsby, England. After my time in the UK, I received another Master’s degree in English Literature! Once I moved to Denver, Colorado… I stayed! I live in my home in Denver with my husband, Aris, our 2 dogs (Lay-Lay and Lea), 3 ducks (Clover, Cleo and Cloud), and about 25 fish (and yes! They all have names!). I never go anywhere without a book or two and my crochet! I have a passion for hedgehogs and sea otters, I am nuts for French History, and I collect National Parks! When not in class, I like swimming, camping, and spending time with friends. My personal goal for this year is to bike to school whenever possible! In class, I believe that success is within reach of every student, and I do my best to teach to every student as an individual. I usually base my teaching around small groups and do fun activities whenever possible. I’m convinced that communication is the key to a positive parent-teacher-student relationship. So, keep in touch!.
Bonjour ! My name is Jenna BACHMAN. After 7 years teaching French immersion at a private school I am thrilled to be a part the wonderful and talented educators at L’École de Denver since 2020!
The best two years of my life were spent in between Dijon and Paris. Even though I am living here I can’t stay away from France! I take my family there every summer.
I have experience in tutoring French one on one as well as small groups. I enjoy working with children from 12 months old to 10 years old at the Alliance Française in addition to L’École.
When I’m not at school I am at home with my fiancé and my son. In my time outside the classroom I love to swim, read, watch movies, and spend time with my family. But my most favorite thing is travelling and seeing the world with the ones I love!
I can’t wait to share my passion of the French language and culture with our students. I am ready to provide your children with a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning!
À très vite !
I am Johane and I work at L’École de Denver in PreK. I love baking, and kayaking during my free time. I am a student at AAS and also taking classes to be ECE certified. I love working with kids. They are adorable and they make me happy. I also like that our students have solidarity and are true friends. These kids have zero hypocrisy.
